The first night of playoff hockey is over and the results are as I expected. Every team I chose to win won ther matchup. The Pittsburgh Penguins are still going strong without their captain Sid the Kid Crosby. They won game one of the series against the strong Tampa Bay Lightning. Crosby played less then half the regular season and still lead his team in points, that is remarkable to do. I think even without Crosby in the lineup the Penguins will take the Eastern Conference. In the Finals they will lose to the Vancouvier Canucks, who are currently leading their series 1-0 over the Chicago Blackhawks. It will be a Canadian goaltending matchup Marc-Andre Fleury vs. Roberto Luongo. Gotta represent a canadian team since my team didnt make the playoffs. The NY Rangers- Washington game was a good game, both teams played hard. Washington had many scoring oppurtunities in the first period but kept ringing the puck off the crossbar. Alexander Semin was one of the players with chances in the first period but kept missing; he eventually hit his target. He was the hero of the game for scoring the overtime game winner in the first OT period. I think that the 5 teams that won their first games tonight all take the series.
